The Museum of Evolution – Evolutionsmuseet

The Museum of Evolution houses Uppsala University’s collections of animals, plants, fossils and minerals, the diversity of nature gathered since the 17th century for research, education and admiration! The museum is located in three adjacent buildings. The Museum ofEvolution (Zoology) displays Swedish and foreign animals and anatomicalpreparations. In the Museum of Evolution (Palaeontology), fossils explainthe evolution of life. The museum contains the largest collection of dinosaurs in the Nordic countries, together with fossils and minerals from throughout the world. The Museum of Evolution (Botany) contains 3 million pressed plants from the four corners of t he world. The botanical collections can be viewed by appointment only.
