Bror Hjorths Hus - Bror Hjorth's House

Colourful Artist's Museum
Few artist's homes, that have become museums, are as well preserved and authentic as Bror Hjorths Hus. Visitors get to know Bror Hjorth’s art through the 250 works shown in the workshop and living rooms. The sculptor’s tools and painter’s brushes on the workbench give the impression that the artist is just out walking his dog. Bror Hjorth (1894 –1968) is regarded as one of the finest modernists in Sweden. His red painted wooden house from 1943 is surrounded by a lush garden, a relaxing place for a cup of coffee. Temporary art exhibitions are shown in the museum’s exhibition hall.
